Paul was sentenced to a long prison sentence when he was assigned a yoga course by the trust.
After diagnosing the spinal cord, he was told that he could not train usually as he could, so he began to “yoga” mainly “for his physical aspect.”
He said, “He made me aware of the body, so what I had suffered and hurt, I learned to deal with yoga.” “It became my best friend.”
Talking to BBC Radio Oxford, Paul said that yoga has also helped them deal with difficult situations and emotions.
He remembered an incident when he was forced to wait before going to the room to practice.
He said he had shortly abandoned and left, but he decided to return and wait for the guard.
He said, “That’s what Yoga gave me,” he gave me control to go back. “
Paul has then taught prisoners themselves and have opened their studio.
“If you had given me your yoga mat and me somewhere in the world, on any other hill, nothing else, I’m a happy man.”
