The second round of March madness continues and the top seed, national champion South Carolina and the UCLA have won the Sweet 16. Other high programs include Duke, Notary Dam and TCU.
This year’s four No.1 seeds are UCLA, South Carolina, Texas and USC. Since expanding the tournament in 1994, the No. 1 badge has won the title 23 times. Meanwhile, number 2 seeds have won four times the championship and number 3 seed three times – the most recent LSU in 2023, a program that is once again number 3 seed this year.
Perhaps this year’s most dangerous number 2 seed, surprisingly, Ukin – a winning program with 11 national topics in women’s basketball history. Geno Ormma became the most coach in the history of basketball at the beginning of this season, and despite not winning the trophy since 2016, he has guided Huskies in 15 of the last 16 final squares. In the first round, 103-34 against the Arkansas State resulted in the most success. Haski will play No. 10 South Dakota State on the line on Monday night with a journey of Sweet 16 on the line.
The seeds above have seen strong, but they have to overcome some challenges. In the opening round, USC star Jojo Watkins were afraid of two injuries during his team’s 71-25 wins on the UNC Greensoro, but they are “all good” to continue dancing with the triggers.
