The latest Windows 11 previews that Microsoft released this week includes a “about a better” section in the settings app where users can find more information about the hardware inside their computer. In addition to “speaking cards”, Microsoft is working on a dedicated general questionnaire section to help users better understand how their components affect performance.
The first signs of the new section were seen some time ago, but now, we have real questions and answers about Settings>. Microsoft has not yet announced a new part, but you can work it with some fraud.
Of course, what does not say in the new part of Microsoft is not new to PC users. However, newcomers to Windows and PC environmental systems may find information useful. So far, users have been able to dig the following questions:
- Am I running the latest version of Windows OS? What is the latest version of Windows?
How does having 4-8GB of ram have an impact on my PC’s performance? Can I easily run modern applications with this ram capacity?
What is GPU? I don’t have a dedicated GPU. How does its absence affect gaming and graphics performance?
Is my GPU enough for high -end gaming and video experience? How can my experience and productivity be a dedicated GPU?
It is worth noting that the list of questions available depends on your specific hardware. For example, integrated graphics users will have a question about the lack of discrete graphics card. The question about system memory and the answer also depends on how much ram your computer has. Interestingly, there is a version for people with less than 4GB of RAM. Although 4GB for Windows 11 is at least (officially), Microsoft has still seriously added a version for computer holders.
Although Microsoft’s answers to RAM and GPU are quite spot on, the question about the latest Windows version is strange. It says the latest release is without mentioning a particular version like Windows 11 24h2 or 23h2. Although Windows 11 is really the latest Windows, its separate releases have separate life cycles (18 months after the release date for regular users). It would be good if Microsoft mentioned it in the new general questionnaire section.
If you want to test the latest “about” page in the settings app, do the following work:
- Make sure you are on Blood 26120.3576 or 22635.5090.
