White House says Trump plans to follow through on vow to slap tariffs on Canada, Mexico on Feb. 1

US President Donald Trump’s press secretary says plans to slap Canada are still underway with punishment prices on Saturday.

Crown Levyt told reporters in the White House that he spoke to the president on Monday night and indicated that “is still on books” to introduce harmful duties against Canada and Mexico on February 1.

Trump initially promised 25 % in board prices, in response to which he termed the failure of both countries to stop the illegal flow of people across the border and drugs.

The President has since linked the risk of prices with economic and trade concerns with Canada and has repeatedly said that it should become the 51st state.

Canadian officials have said that Ottawa will respond to retaliation for termination of Trump’s prices.
