What is The Players Championship playoff format?

Men’s golf has its own play -off format of every “Major” event. Thus the players will launch an additional session in the championship:

  • Three -hole gross play -off: No. 16, 17 and 18;
  • If two or more players are still tied up, it dies suddenly, which begins with PAR-3 17 and then if necessary, go to PAR-4 18th;
  • If it is still tied, the players will continue to die suddenly at number 16, 17, 18, suddenly.

Players have gone off five players in the history of the championship. The current form was established in 2014 and was recently employed in 2015, when Ricky Folder suddenly defeated Kevin Kasar on the 17th hole in death (fourth extra hole).
