Trump repeatedly called for Gaza to settle this week – rights groups say ethnic cleansing would be equivalent to “and for the United States to” handle “the Palestinian territory.
Leaders from around the world have warned that ousting Palestinians from Gaza will destabilize the entire Middle East. Further, Trump’s comments can move towards the lasting end of the fighting in the area.
“President Trump has been fully provocative and foreign demand for ethnic cleansing of more than two million Palestinian people from Gaza, said Josh Robner, a lecturer at the Georgetown University Justice and Peace Program.
“Of course, the Palestinian ethnic cleansing was not in a ceasefire agreement, and by putting this authority on the table by Trump, he stands to destroy the very critical process.”
The ceasefire was implemented on January 19, a day before Trump took office. But the US president has argued that his efforts to negotiate, led by the Middle East envoy Steve Watkov, are helpful in sealing the deal.
Trump requested a ceasefire at his opening address when he promised to quit as a “peace maker and a uniform”.
“We had nothing to do with it”.
A few days later, Trump advised Gaza to evacuate his residents. Initially, it was easy to reject the comments as one of their off -cuffs, hyperbolic announcements.
But then he repeated them again and again. On Tuesday, he read the remarks prepared, which ends his proposal by talking to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
“The United States will occupy the Gaza Strip, and we will work with it too. We will own it,” Trump said.
Despite Trump’s comments, ceasefire continues. The guns remain silent, and Hamas is ready to release three more Israeli prisoners in the coming days in exchange for 183 Palestinians.
However, the US president’s proposal has raised questions about the phase of the trace deal, including talks about the future of Gaza.
The first step – in which 33 Israeli kidnappers will be released, humanitarian aid to Gaza and the increase of Israeli Israelis from the area is about to end on March 1st.
It is believed that in the second phase, Gaza will have to pull a full -fledged Israeli forces, a permanent ceasefire and the release of all the other kidnappers near Hamas. And the third phase includes a five -year reconstruction plan for Gaza.
Trump’s pressure to completely leave the area to the people of Gaza is in direct contradiction with the spirit of the agreement.
And there are signs that the US administration is no longer determined to all parts of the deal that it is proud of brokering.
On Tuesday, Trump’s envoy to Wetkov suggested that Washington would emphasize the first two stages to liberate all Israeli captives. But it looked like he was looking at the third stage-the reconstruction of Gaza, saying that “the way the deal is talked about, which is a five-year program”.
Watkov completely removed the Trump team from the deal, saying it was not “amazing” from the beginning.

US officials have tried to run Trump’s comments with White House spokeswoman Crolley Levet – or at least the tone.

“There is no question that a ceasefire on his face is not compatible with the plan to clean up Gaza,” Elgundi told Algzira.
“That’s why I think the second step is very fragile. If we can get a contract at the second stage, and the second phase is implemented, I think the risk of original ethnic cleansing is very low.

When asked about a ceasefire in the White House this week, Netanyahu promised to achieve three goals of the war: release of Asians, destroying Hamas’s army and rule, and to ensure that Gaza is not a threat to Israel.
