What a 10-Minute Trip to Space on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Is Like

  • The technician Lane Base considers its two blue space tours.
  • The base said that every journey renewed the feeling of what is the difference in life.
  • He called for more vision investment in space technology and research.

This is a matter of communicating with the former tech industry veteran lane base. He founded the base ventures and is the CEO of Deep Instant, a deep -learned cybercular company. He is also the chairman of the Blaze AI, the former CEO of Paul Alto Networks, and the former COO of Z Scaler. This does not have financial relationships The origin of the blue.

I have gone into space twice in almost three years. Each time, I have returned with a new feeling of what I am in my life.

I made my first trip in December 2021 and my second trip last February. Each flight was only 10 minutes long, but when you descend and when you descend, the earth looks completely different.

This time I returned with numerous questions about the condition of my world. Since my first journey, the war has increased. I thought again – and still – what humanity can achieve is the only limit that we have the ability to go with each other.

Instead, what I see is the thirst of power, the change is how people see politics, and people compromise on the foundations of our constitutional ancestors who benefit from only one country for things.

US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese leader Xi Jinping should not have just three people on earth who say how the rest of humanity lives their lives.

All this can force you to think that we should find another place to go because we are going to disrupt it. We will not make Mars colonial at any time, but maybe now it has to start.

Lifetime curiosity

Ever since I was in childhood, I have been attracted to rockets. Even before I got teenage, I remember going to the local hobby store – where I had to lie about my age – to buy this model rocket engine (which was clearly firearms). It is a passion that I went on to share with my son, Cameron, who went on with me on my first space journey.

Years later, it was possible for citizens to go into space. Fortunately, by that time, I had a tremendous emission from my former cybercular companies, Paulo Alto Networks and Z Scale, so I could afford to bid on the original blue seat at the auction. I was also looking for investing in space technology through my family office, base ventures.

In 2021, just before Thanksgiving, Blue Origan’s operations and civilian sales director contacted me about his third flight. I was contacted again in January this year when a seat opened on the 10th flight.

I can’t exactly reveal how much my latest journey costs, but it was in the millions. It is clear that my five fellow travelers also yielded good financial results in their lives. Richard Scott is a reproductive endocrinologist who sold his reproductive Medicine Group, Evema to a private equity firm KR. Allen Chia Hyde, a physicist, pilot, and media company, the founder of the Chicago star and the only woman on the journey, has been saving years to do such work.

Before the take -off we spent about two and a half days in classroom training. Unlike astronauts who prepare long orbit tours, we have not trained in a tank or swimming in a tank to understand weight loss. It was more about learning engineering behind the rocket, so you know how safe it is. For two and a half minutes before pulling the gangplan, you can guarantee.

Before the take -off we enter the rocket staff’s designated capsule. For the first five to seven seconds, you do not feel much movement because the engine is burning. To soften the sound of the engine, you have an airpace, but you still have a lot of beating the sound. Then, the capsule is removed in the air.

Within two and a half minutes, you are crossing the Criminal Line, and you begin to realize how thin and fragile the earth environment is. Until then, you are also weightless. I used my Go Pro to get a shot of sight.

The climb is smooth, but the descent can be very high. You have been pulled in your seat with such a high gravity acceleration that you cannot move physically – let a deep breath.

Once we landed, our family was there to welcome us. We had a champagne toast and accepted the fact that we were one of the few hundred civilians who had enrolled in space.

Billionaire for space travel

For the first time I talked with Jeff Bezos’s company Amazon in the nineties when I was a product manager for AT&T’s Internet Business Launch and was launching the Amazon book online.

I wouldn’t say that we are close friends, but I know him well that he is sincere in his commitment to space and science. In his field, he once told me that he feels blessed that his business has created so much wealth that he can really think about things that most people will not think about just about it.

There are thousands of billionaires in the world, but only a dozen or so on, who put their money into things really waiting. I think every generation needs some of them.
