Vehicle drives into crowd after Eagles’ win in apparent accident

Several people were injured after the Eagles defeated Washington commanders at home to go to the Super Bowl after a car in Philadelphia was injured.

Police said the vehicle entered pedestrians, possibly accidentally, at Broad Street, at a crossroads, where fans traditionally gather to celebrate the major victories of the Eagles.

The number of people killed or hospitalized was not immediately available. From the scene, the video shows the Philadelphia Fire Department personnel working on the injured.

A driver was detained, police said. “It is not deliberately revealed at this time,” the department said on X.

NBC Philadelphia Showed video The Eagles gathered along with Broad Street to celebrate the victory of the NFC Championship.

Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management announced Sunday evening that roads from Broad Street, from the north of the city’s hall to its famous South Street, would be closed for traffic for celebrators. The incident happened north of the closure.

Eagles defeated the commanders 55-23 and will face Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans on February 9.
