Trump has left the agency simultaneously because he is a long -term critic of overseas spending, and argues that USAID taxpayers are not valuable use.
It is one of the many federal agencies in which the Trump administration is being targeted because it works to reduce federal spending and the government’s role in the United States. Trump campaigned on the restoration of the government and formed a consulting agency called the government’s performance (DEGE) – headed by Musk.
Friday’s ruling in Washington DC by US District Judge Carl Nicholas came after filing a lawsuit by the US Foreign Service Association and the American Federation of Government employees – two unions representing agency employees.
The legislature argued that the president was violating the US constitution and federal law by trying to abolish the agency. It says, “None of the defendants’ move to eliminate USAID was taken according to Congress permission.”
“And according to the federal law, Congress is the only institution that can legally abolish the agency.”
On Thursday, the Trump administration sent a notice to USAID employees that it planned to harmonize the organization and maintain 611 essential employees.
About 2,200 employees will be put on a salary leave, Brett Schmidt, an official of the Justice Department, told the judge. He told the court that Trump had decided that “USAID has corruption and fraud”.
Friday’s court’s decision was made when the personnel removed the signs and covered the signs with a black duct tape for the agency in Washington DC – where the organization’s headquarters is.
