Lakki Marwat / Peshawar: Two policemen were martyred when terrorists attacked a police post in Fatehil area of Banu district late on Friday night.
The attackers used both light and heavy weapons in the midnight attack, a police official said. “It was an attack from all sides, which aims to control the police post, the official said.

Police and administration officials put flower sheets on the coffins, and an alert police squad presented the final salute. The bodies were later sent to their hometowns for burial with full official honors.
RPO Imran Shahid visited the police post on Saturday, met with the officers and praised them for their flexibility against the militants.

A pro -government commander and two of his associates were killed and at least 10 were injured when a rival group in northern Waziristan late Friday night attacked his base near Mirali.

On Friday, the ISPR said that three militants wearing a burqa were shot dead in an intelligence -based operation in the Datta Khel area. The disguised militants were trying to escape when they were stopped.
One of them was later identified as the name of Kamal Khan’s son, Lokman Khan alias Nasrat, from the Spira district of Khost Province, Afghanistan. Officials said that Nasrat was involved in several militant attacks inside Pakistan.
The ISPR statement describes such incidents as “irreparable evidence” of Afghan citizens involved in militant activities inside Pakistan. The army called on the Afghan interim government to fulfill its responsibilities and stop the use of Afghan soil for such operations.
