President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was removing former president Joe Biden’s ranking information by canceling his security clearance and stopping his daily intelligence briefing.

The practical impact of Trump’s claim to ban Biden’s security clearance is an open question. Former presidents usually do not have security approved. As president, he has access to all the information. When leaving the office, they do not do so.
