According to a notice published on Friday in the Federal Register, the Trump administration will cancel more than half a million immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

The Biden administration had argued that the CHNV would allow better scrutiny of people entering the country between reducing illegal crossing on the southern border and the arrival of migrants passing through the US Mexico border.
According to the BBC, Trump’s Homeland Security Department criticized the Biden administration on Friday, saying the program had failed to achieve its goals.

But the notice in the Federal Register states that under the CHNV, some immigrants in the United States may be allowed to live in the country on the basis of a case.
According to the BBC, CHNV helped the worsening conditions in its hometown, as well as more than 120,700 Venezuelan, 110,900 Cuba and more than 93,000 coconuts to enter the United States.
Last month, the DHS announced another immigration position, temporarily safe status, or plans to eliminate TPS for 500,000 Haiti residents living in the United States legally. TPS was given to immigrants from designated countries facing unsafe conditions, including armed conflict.
The agency also eliminated the TPS for Venezuelan living in the United States, though it is being challenged in court.

Since taking office in January as part of his immigration agenda, Trump’s efforts to remove legal and illegal immigrants from the United States have faced numerous legal obstacles.
According to Bloomberg News, the Trump administration has also allegedly abolished internal care for DHS, including office of civil rights and civil liberties, which investigated allegations of abuse and discrimination within immigration enforcement.
