Denmarksid has begun advising transgender people to contact the US Embassy in Copenhagen before traveling to the United States.
The move has come to the fore among the concerns that US President Donald Trump’s gender policies could cause problems for him.
On his first day, Trump signed an order in which the US government needs to use the term “sex” instead of “gender”.
Finland issued a similar warning a week ago, citing an executive order that the United States would only recognize two -changing sexes, men and women, and that authorities could deny admission to passengers, with documents assigned to birth with a different sex.
Germany has also updated its travel advice for the United States after being detained by Germany. However, German changes were not related to gender.
The Danish Travel Advisory Page reads, “If your passport has a gender design X or you have changed the gender, it is recommended to contact the US Embassy before traveling to guide the way to proceed.”
The Danish Foreign Ministry said that the US system responsible for authorizing passenger requests includes two genders, men and women, which can complicate some Dan’s affairs.
A Danish citizen has not been detained in the United States or refused to enter since Trump took office, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
A spokesman for the US Embassy in Copenhagen said that applicants in their passports would be allowed to enter the country on the basis of their biological sex at birth.
