We are not watching Tiger Woods playing golf at any time. But if you think we will never see Tiger Woods playing golf again … think again.
Woods announced on Tuesday afternoon that he had undergone surgery for torn Achilles, a injury that would keep him away from all four major companies in 2025. This is another catastrophic shock in which they have become a carrier full of them.
It would be easier to announce Woods’ career, which is easy to say – another surgery, another season of lost companies, another lost year of career that has a few years left.
It will be easy… and it will be wrong. Tiger Woods is not going out like this. He will come back, one way or the other. When he leaves the game of golf, it will be on his own terms.
This does not mean that he will ever raise another trophy. Woods will certainly end the three of Jack Nickels ’18 Majors’ three Majors forever. He will almost certainly be tied to the 82 PGA Tour for most of the victories.
And still… you will not bet your home against the forest, will you do? Because when you think he’s out, he does the procession back to win the US Open on a broken leg, or wins the masters once more. Woods dominated his career, but he maintained it with flexibility. Think of anyone less, and you will be in the club house that signed your score card well.
