Santa Clara, California (AP) – On Friday night, San Francisco 49ers hired Robert Saleh as a defense coordinator on Friday night after a failed period of New York Jets.
Saleh was a candidate for head coaching in Jackson Well, Dallas and Las Vegas. But once they were filled up all the places, Saleh decided to return to San Francisco as a coordinator to help rebuild the unit that was the most dominant of the league at the end of its first period. –
Saleh will be the fourth defense coordinator in the four seasons of San Francisco. Demco Ryans, who replaced Saleh in 2021, left for Houston to become head coach in Houston after the 2022 season, and Steve Wilks and Nick Surinson were replaced in the past two years after one season.
Saleh was kept in 2017 as the first Defense Coordinator of Shanahan and struggled in the first two season. But when the team drafted Nick Bosa’s defensive end in 2019 and implemented the “Wide Nine” scheme in which Edgeeers were standing in a wide range and focused on getting up in the field, defense began.
San Francisco went to the Super Bowl in the 2019 season and was still a strong season in the next season when it was not almost a year due to a knee injury, which resulted in Saleh getting a head coaching job with jets.

The San Francisco is ranked 29th in scoring a defense in the League, which allowed 25.6 points per game, and with 17 with the lowest techway.
