South Carolina’s public health chief wants to look ahead. Critics want to blame him over COVID

As the first director of South Carolina’s new organized health agency, Dr. Edward Summer has the vision of reducing children’s deaths, fighting childhood cancer and reducing high drug intake.

But it has been confirmed instead of a referendum on how the state responded to Kovid five years ago and how the residual anger on the lockdown and vaccines – though Summer did not start working in the state by February 2021.

At his state Senate hearing on Thursday, some members of the audience showed stickers, crossing his face. Summer, who asked his wife to stay home instead of coming to Colombia due to threats, said that he was accused in the hallway on the way to the meeting.

Some Republican legislators, including their vicious critics, have also called it a double mask, even after explaining to their wife, making her medical conditions mainly dangerous, which is especially dangerous to her. He was exposed on Thursday, but he said, “They will wear a mask again without hesitation if I love the woman I love.”

Critics say he wants to be a powerful health, though lawmakers did not give the new health leader more power than his predecessors when he distributed the unit from the environmental agency for more than a century.

Summer has the full support of the Republican Government Henry McMaster, who supported it when Summer was hired to run the state’s joint health and environmental agency in 2021. The Senate approved the recommendation at a 40-1 vote.

But even the support of the governor came with a back -hand knock on the federal government’s full response, and Dr. Anthony Fuki, a contagious disease specialist, who advised President Donald Trump and Biden on pandemic diseases.

McMaster said this week, “They are not Dr. Fuki.”

Summer said he has never necessary to help the Covade vaccine and now with the information he knows, did not recommend closing schools or students need to wear a mask.

“These lies and lies not only affect me-they are dangerous,” said Simar.

In the 14 -page opening statement of the summer, the Medical Affairs Committee had a short time for the skepticism of the Senators. Another meeting where senators have been promised that they can ask every question that they will be held soon.

Johns Island’s Republican San Mate Labor wrote on social media, “Dr. Simmer’s initial statement was over -aggressive. I think it’s unfortunate.”

Samar said he had regretted that all of his conversations in public health in his historically unhealthy deep southern state had fell in love after being tired of winter in Cleveland and posted as a naval doctor in befort on the coast.

South Carolina ranks 37th or 38th in many decades of overall health after decades of downward five.

Summer plans to get even better. The state is close to the newborn and mother’s death. The Department of Health is working at a mobile maternity care center that will come to the road in 2026 and go to the poorest counties in the state, where the nearest ethnic expert can be more than 50 miles (80 km) drive.

He is trying to cope with the causes of early death prevention, such as chronic diseases such as stroke and diabetes. The short distance from the South Carolina State House is a zip code that has high levels of diabetes in the country.

Samar said, “If you want (Public Health) director who supports the medical freedom, opposes the shutdown like Coid, keeps the people of his agency first, and devotes himself to improving the health of everyone and every community in South Carolina, I am the director.
