At the beginning of the season, with victories in Pardo, Maryland, Wisconsin and Georgia, Market Golden Eagles saw the country’s top 10 team at least in times.
In the first half of the conference season, a favorable Big East Schedule supported this eye test, as the Golden Eagles won 9 of their first 10 league games, and started 18-3.
After that, the speed of the season took a defect.
The Golden Eagles moved 4-6 in the second half when the schedule became difficult and never found this season.
The season ended Friday night after New Mexico was disappointed with 75-66 in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The outstanding college career of Kam Jones, Steve Mitchell and David Jalplan also ended suddenly.
Jalplan may have finally saved his best market game with 28 points, and it can certainly be argued that Kam Jones is still the best aggressive player in Big East.
But Jones’ burden of great work and its defense looked as if the season began, it had an impact on the motor. After January 28, Market did not win more than two consecutive games.
After the loss of the first round tournament, there is a slight reaction to social media.
