Topica – There is only one week left for winter games as state basketball is wrapped this season. Last week, the sub -state basketball showcased some of the major performances of Topica Area athletes. The players needed their full need to help make a cartoon on tickets in this week’s state tournament.

Tuesday, March 4

Jacob Desert, Hayden Basketball: The senior scored more than 15 points from the team to eliminate the independence of the wild cats. They will be able to win 93-59 in the first round of the sub-state as Desert scored 13 points in the first half.

Jack Donovan, Russia Will Basketball: It was more than 20 points for the guard as it won 64-51 against Horton in the semi-finals of the sub-state.

Simon Ravi, Wasbran Rural Basketball: Junior was in court everywhere when he scored the team’s top 23 points in a 78-50 win against the Waketa West in the sub-state opener.

Wednesday, March 5

Jillin Foy, Topika West Basketball: There was a senior clutch, he scored 19 points in the team’s 69-63 OT win against Bishop Carol in the inaugural game of the sub-state tournament. It was more scoring performance than Foy’s team.

Dan Johnson, Silver Lake Basketball: Johnson scored 18 points in the first round of the sub -state. He was very important in helping the Eagles win 64-62 against the Oceage City.

Dacon Pomeroy, Shawi Heights Basketball: The senior won 74-41 against the Summer Academy in the first round of the sub-state by scoring 25 points.

Thursday, March 6

Trever Christie, Hayden Bowling: The senior class was in third position in the 4-1A State Championship. His performance helped Hayden the first state title cleansing when he tied Molwin with 95 pins.

Friday, March 7

Caden Blard, Wasbran Rural Basketball: The senior consolidated a place with 16 -point performance in the Class 6A State Tournament. His team’s height was very important as Junior Blues defeated Fu Junction City 54-49 in the sub-state title game.

Cameron Miller, Russia Will Basketball: Forward scored 23 points from the back of the arc against Moore Hill Mount Academy, scoring 23 points. Miller won 69-50 and helped Buldags Class 2A State Tournament Bert.

Saturday, March 8

Ontariyes Emot, Shawi Heights Basketball: In the sub -state championship, Junior St. Thomas Eknas fell 15 points. Emoto was key to winning 49-42 as he was very important in helping Thunderbirds take place in the state tournament.

Jillin Foy, Topika West Basketball: The senior scored more than 21 points to win the sub -state championship at the Valley Center. Fuoy is playing its best basketball at a crucial moment, helping Topika West to reach the state tournament.

Mickey Williams, Hyland Park Basketball: The senior scored more than 18 points than the game when he sealed the sub -state title for scats. The guard was key to Scott’s unbeaten, 22-0, to continue the season as he defeated Basver Linwood 53-35.

Milli Ramsey, Hayden Basketball: The senior scored the team’s top 17 points in the team’s 53-17 win in the first round of the sub-state.

Ahsieyrhuajh Righton, Topika High Basketball: Sophomore took the path with the team’s top 17 points in the first round of the 44-41 against Waketa South.

Friday, March 7

Medi Greg, C Main Basketball: Thanks to Greg’s night, the unbeaten, the ruler Class 5A Champion returned to the state tournament. Junior scored 19 points of the team in the 55-47 sub-state championship game against Kapoon Mount Carmal.

Saturday, March 8

Brailly Mayor, Hayden Basketball: Belive University’s Signie won a team with 12 points when he shot 5-For-10 from the field. The mayor helped win the Wild Cats 52-22 in the substitute title game, with Hayden forwarding to the Class 4A State Tournament.

Medi Vikri, Wasbran Rural Basketball: The Kansas State committee scored 20 points, leaving the team to Class 6A State Tournament. Junior Blues defeated Manhattan 46-31 and won the sub-state title game.
