The veteran tight end shared his thoughts and feelings following the divisional round loss to the Ravens in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“It’s impossible to adequately express how I feel,” Andrews wrote. “I am absolutely devastated by what happened on Sunday. I my teammates, my coaches and The crow As a fan I put every ounce of my being into playing at the highest level possible, because I love my team and the game of football like nothing else. This is why it has taken me until now to gather my thoughts and address this publicly.
“Although the shock and despair is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before, I refuse to let the situation define me. I promise that this adversity will only make me stronger and fuel us as we move forward. I thank everyone who showed up and our team has been really supportive these past few days.
“Despite the negativity, I’ve seen an outpouring of love and encouragement, including from people who have generously donated to the Breakthrough T1D organization. Even when the moment seems bleak, perspective can show. There’s still so much light in this world I’m going to jump back in and contribute #GodBless.”

Andrews declined to speak to the media after the Ravens’ 27-25 loss at the Bills on Sunday night. The veteran tight end’s crucial drop during a two-point conversion attempt late in the game proved to be the difference in the loss, and as such, he was the subject of much online hate and anarchy.
Three days after the fundraiser began and four days after the loss, Andrews was clearly ready to make his first public comments since the game ended.
