Rawalpindi: Punjab Police has warned its officials against the expression of “aggressive ideas” about the state using its personal social media accounts.
“When it was discovered that some police officers were using their personal social media accounts to express their aggressive views about the state, government departments and law enforcement agencies, the divisional police chiefs of Punjab have been instructed to strictly monitor and strictly monitor it.”
It forms professional corruption, so strict departmental action should be taken against those responsible.
AIG ordered all regional police officers (RPOs), including Rawalpindi RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa, and City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani to ensure effective monitoring of social media accounts of police personnel in their respective areas.
The directive added, “If any police officer was found uploading inappropriate video, post, illegal content, or any content or comment against the police or government departments, the RPO will take strict action against the responsible personnel.”
“No illegal content against state, legal and government agencies and law enforcement agencies is allowed to share on social media platforms.” The directive added that in February this year, the concerned authorities had already issued a directive to the police in Punjab province in connection with the standard operating procedure (SPO) to monitor such contents.
