Sex Falls, SD (Dakota News Now) – A bill to counter the travel ban last week was re -presented in Congress.
Non -immigrants, or an “no restriction” Act, is an attempt to stop travel restrictions on national origin -based anti -disqualification, Islamic faith, or any other religious group.
In 2017, executive orders were forbidden to travel mainly from Muslim countries or refugees entering these countries.
The order is expected to be re -enforced within a few days.
“A dangerous moment in which we are present, and one in which you know that all Americans need to be cautious and focused,” said Abid Ayub, executive director of the American Arab Anti -Discrimination Committee.
Travel ban supporters believe that the protection of citizens must protect the country by controlling borders and admission by heavily.
Others think the ban will be far away.
“The migrant communities, especially our community, make our community a target and a target on us,” said Ayub.
The international civil rights organization, Sox, is adding the United States to the eyes of five countries.
Anxiety thwarts civil liberties based on recent executive orders.
“And these individuals will be subjected to the removal of their first amendment based on a safe activity,” said Yasmin Tayyab, immigration attorney.
South Dakota has more than 2,000 international students, who spend more than 40,000, 000 annually, which is only a part of the population of international students nationwide.
“Students are considering leaving for Canada or Australia,” said Ayazita Ranjbar, a professor at the University of Colorado, which is a huge loss to our intellectual communities. “
Those who seek US citizenship from the banned country are worried about meeting their family.
“What we are seeing is far from our rights and the rights of the people in this country have to be eliminated,” said Ayub.
With the increasing number of Muslim faith in South Dakota, it is hoped that they will be embraced with acceptance and peace, especially during this holy time of Ramadan.
