This is enough to make any sane and moderately well-mannered person stop, scratch their head and say: ‘Wait. Is this really happening? Are these clowns really running things?’
Elon Musk’s gesture at the inauguration sparked controversy.
Elon Musk’s gesture to Donald Trump supporters at a post-inauguration rally sparks controversy.
When we last checked in on Elon Musk, the billionaire and co-president of the United States, he was giving a one-arm salute to a crowd of Donald Trump supporters, prompting wide-eyed people to ask: “Is this Nazi? Was it a greeting?”
Musk’s fans rushed to his defense, from the bemused “He was just excited” to the even more bewildered “It was a harmless Roman salute, you silly labs!”
gave The Anti-Defamation League provided Musk with a measure of cover. Weighing in and calling it “a strange gesture”, some real Nazis were tickled pink by the whole thing and life in America began to spiral towards its inevitable demise, until…
Elon Musk decided it was a good time to share some tips about Nazis.
Early Wednesday, Musk decided it would be a fun idea. To hop on the social media site he bought and converted to A stronghold for Nazis and other miscellaneous fanatics. Then he decided it would be fun and smart and big boy to rattle off a few pieces of Nazis. So he posted this.:
Do not call the Nazi accusations hess!
Few would put Goebbels down for anything!
Stop attacking your enemies!
His pronoun He/Himler!
Bet you nazi that’s coming 😂
Musk’s Nazi jokes rightfully draw the ire of the Anti-Defamation League.
When it comes to making jokes about historical figures responsible for the Holocaust, there’s one reliable rule: don’t. (An additional rule is to never, ever, ever use the laughing emoji when referring to the likes of monsters like Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels or Heinrich Himmler.)
This post indicated. Jonathan Greenblatt, head of the ADLHot on X for excusing Musk’s “weird gesture,” turning around and scolding him:
“We’ve said it hundreds of times before and we’ll say it again: The Holocaust was a singularly bad event, and it’s inappropriate and offensive to make light of it.
@elonmusk, the holocaust is no joke.
In a separate post, he added: “Making inappropriate and highly offensive jokes that trivialize the Holocaust only serves to minimize the evil and inhumanity of the Nazis’ crimes, the suffering of both victims and survivors, and the six million Jews killed in the Shoah. insulting the memory of.”
One of the most powerful people in America making a Nazi joke?
Well, let’s stop for a moment and consider all the things that are happening here in the early days of President Donald Trump’s administration.
Trump’s billionaire right-hand man is publicly goading him with Nazi jokes and has to remind him that we don’t give a damn about the murder of six million Jews.
Trump and all his associates and supporters are. Satanically targeting an Episcopalian bishop Because she had the audacity to ask the new president to show mercy to weaklings.
That’s enough to make any sane and moderately well-mannered person stop, scratch their head and say: “Wait. Is this really happening? Are these clowns really running things?”
Trump and Musk are already making America worse with their behavior.
Sadly, the answer to each of these questions is yes.
If you support Musk and Trump and their Nazi jokes and bold attempts to bring secular bishops into the mainstream, I suggest you go to your workplace or a public place and listen to Musk. Mimic “weird gestures” or knock off a few Hitler-era phrases. Start condemning the person of the clothes you don’t agree with and label that person a “devil”. Let’s see how it all works for you.
To everyone else, welcome to America of hateful idiots and sad boys.
It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
