Microsoft has announced that, by May 27, 2025, the remote desktop app for Windows – available through the Microsoft Store – will no longer cooperate or cooperate for download and installation. What does the new Windows app offer?

For other users, Microsoft will no longer provide assistance for this application. As a result, organizations and individuals depending on remote desktop will have to take active steps to migrate to the Windows app.
How to download the new Windows app
The Windows app can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store or through the official Microsoft website. In cases where remote desktop services are needed and the Windows app does not support them yet, Microsoft recommends using remote desktop connection or remote EPP and desktop connection as an interim solution.
Users are also encouraged to check the list of known problems and limits in the Windows app, as Microsoft is actively working to remove the feature difference. In addition, guidance has been made available about installing the remote desktop app.
IT organizers are urged to update internal documents, inform the closing users, and to make their organizations for transfer by ensuring the Windows app. With the deadline approaching, Microsoft has advised all users in its blog post to work immediately to avoid obstacles to their remote work experience.
