The Anti -Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday rejected a bad request of PTI founder Imran Khan in a case related to the attack on the army general headquarters during violent protests on May 9, 2023. –

Imran was charged in the case on December 5 last year. The founder of PTI, who has been imprisoned in Adiala Jail since August 2023, was arrested by Rawalpindi police in a protest case on May 9, 2024. However, he filed a petition for the acquisition.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the case today. Prosecutors argued that the trial is still underway and the testimony of 12 witnesses has already been recorded, adding that it was not appropriate to hear the request for bad at this stage and allow the prosecution to record the testimony of the witnesses.
