List of African countries considered for Trump’s potential new travel ban

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Trump administration is considering widespread travel restrictions for citizens of several countries.

An American official, speaking anonymous, emphasized that the list could be changed and its final approval is to be obtained, including the Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The memo features a list of 43 countries, of which three groups have been classified, of which 22 are from Africa. The following are being considered for potential travel sanctions under Trump’s new proposed travel ban.

The “Red Category” includes countries whose citizens enter the United States will be fully prohibited. A complete visa suspension means that people from these countries will be disqualified for any US visa, and will effectively prevent them from traveling, work, or education in the country.

B) Partial Visa suspension (tourist, student and some other visa affected)

“Orange category” refers to partial visas suspension to countries, which means only certain types of visas, such as tourists and students, will be banned, while others, such as diplomatic or work visas, can still be issued. In addition, applicants from these countries will need to participate in the interview personally to obtain a visa.

C) Countries recommend partial suspension if they do not remove the flaws:

A separate “yellow list” includes 22 countries that have 60 days to address US concerns before facing strict visa restrictions. These countries have been flagged to reduce security measures, identification verification, or co -operation with US immigration policies. Failure to improve them can result in a more binding category.

12) The Democratic Republic of the Congo

21) Sao Tommy and Princess
