Beirut: Lebanon formed a new government on Saturday following an extraordinary US intervention to bring the country closer to access to reconstruction funds after the devastating war between Israel and Hezbollah.

But Washington has withdrawn against the flow of Hezbollah in any new government.
US Deputy Middle East envoy Morgan and Tags said on Friday that the United States considered Hezbollah’s involvement in the new cabinet a “red line” and thanked Israel to deal with Israel’s destructive lives. For, in a controversial statement, which gave rise to a protest in Lebanon.
Eventually, Hezbollah’s ally Amal – headed by Parliament Speaker Nabiya Barry – was allowed to elect new cabinet members, including Finance Minister Yasin Jaber, and approved his approval at number fifth. –

The US Embassy in Lebanon welcomed the cabinet’s announcement, saying it hoped it would rebuild Lebanese state institutions and implement the desired reforms.
Key of reforms
The Christian Lebanese Forces Party, which is strongly opposed to Hezbollah and has not been part of the cabinet in five years, has also selected four ministers, including Foreign Minister Yusuf Raji and Energy Minister Joseph Sadi.
Salam said he hoped that a politically diverse cabinet would “work in harmony”.
“This government will try to restore the confidence between citizens and the state, Lebanon and its Arab environment and the Lebanon and the international community,” he said.
Lebanon has suffered more than half a decade, which has made major parts of the population poor due to a financial collapse, a devastating explosion at Beirut port and more than a year between Israel and Hezbollah.
The United Nations said the government’s formation is “a new and bright chapter for Lebanon”, and has said it is expected to work with the new cabinet and to work on implementing the UN Security Council Resolution 1701 Does, in which the armed groups are demanded to be cleansed of weapons.
