Catherine Legend has achieved some success that no woman has done in seven years.

Compete the NASCAR Cup series.

The 44 -year -old English driver started his cup series in the Foenix Raceway in Arizona on Sunday, before his day ended.

She was running at 28th, 216 when her car spread after contacting another driver. When his car was roaming, it collided with Daniel Suriz, who was currently running in the sixth.

Legend, who directly pilot the number 78 Chevrolet for fast motorports, became the 17th woman to compete at the NASCAR level and first in 2018 after Danika Patrick.

42 -year -old Patrick last runs in Dutona 500 runs.

Legend also worked at the earliest but regained control of the car.

He called it “somewhat starting” but the team praised the adjustment in the entire race.

“I think we were relatively quick than the field, so it was not bad,” Leged said. “We were trying to find some speed, and we found it in the whole race, but it was a difficult start.”

At the beginning of its first cup series, Legend found the positives positive.

“Baptist of fire. I think it is a lot of positive. Obviously mistakes were made, but I learned a lot and hopefully I will come back and do it again.

Legend, which is from England’s Guildford, has previously racked up in more than one series, including the Seven Indicar series last year. It has also started four careers in Indiana Paul 500 and set a record of the fastest time to qualify for a woman in 2023.

Prior to the race, Legend told reporters about her experiences as women in the world of racing, and hope to see more in the future.

“It is disappointing that the Indicar, Neskar Cup, sports cars are not more women,” Lege said on Friday. “Everyone says, ‘What do you like to be a girl in racing?’ And I do not know how to be a boy in racing.

Legend added that it would be “amazing” to get future opportunities for the race in the Cup series.

“I would love to do this,” Legend said. “I don’t think we have any expectations that we will go out and competitive. I think if we finish something except the last thing, it will be honestly winning for us because I have no experience that either of them is. I don’t have the car that is capable of moving forward and running, so hopefully we can prepare me and the car and everything at the same time and we can get there.

Christopher Bell took a checker flag with Danny Hamilin and Kyle Larson to win their third race.

According to Neskar, with his third straight victory, the Bell Neskar became the 29th driver to perform in the modern era of the Cup series (after 1972). He has been the first person to do so since Larson completed it in 2021.

The NASCAR Cup series schedule is underway on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway next weekend.
