Kansas Tourism Wins International Gold for Annual Travel Guide

Lieutenant Governor and Secretary for Commerce David Tolland today announced that Kansas Tourism has received a gold award for its 2024 Kansas Official Travel Guide, providing information on attractive destinations, events, food, housing, external adventures and travel resources across the state. The award was given during 33RD Annual North America Travel Journalist Association (NATJA) Award Competition.

“This award not only celebrates the extraordinary work that our team has put into the guide, but also highlights Kansas because it is really it.” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary for Trade David Tolland said. “As Kanson, we know that this state is special. This identity by Natja takes our state firmly in the international stage as a premiere travel destination.”

The judges of the competition included award -winning newspaper and magazine editors as well as journalism articles.

“Our judges’ independent panel commented on these difficulties in the selection of winners,” Helen Harnands, CEO of Natja said. “We are proud of this year’s competition winners.”

“We have incredibly honored to bring home gold for our 2024 travel guide,” Kansas’ Tourism Director Bridget Jobi said. “Our team puts their hearts to create a publication that encourages travelers to find the state of sunflower from our vast parasites to our current cities. We are proud to showcase the best of Kansas and be grateful to them.”
