Italian police arrest 181 in bid to stop Mafia rebuilding in Sicily

Italian police have launched a series of raids to target the mafia tribes in and around the Cecilian capital, Pelmo.

The operation consisted of more than 1,2,000 officers, which the military Corbanese force said was to “eliminate” the area’s mafia.

The raids, which have been the largest for many years, were seen as the bidding of Italian authorities to prevent the reconstruction of its governing body known as Kapola.

In recent months, several mafia owners have been released from jail in recent months. But investigators say those behind bars have still used encrypted mobile phones to continue their activities.

They also found that the Kosa Nostra Mafia of Sicily had updated their “founding father” methods and no longer needed to be found personally.

A local leader was able to hide on organized crimes in his local district, police said.

For more than 100 years, Sicily’s notorious mafia holds a grip on local cities and cities, which will allow the business to be allowed to make a big profit from drug trafficking.

In the early 1990s, they were killed while trying to kill anti -mafia prosecutors.

Then in 1993, the so -called boss of the owners, Salvator “Complete” Raina was arrested in Palermo, and in 2023 the notorious crowd Matu Mesena Dinaro was detained while visiting a local clinic.

Although many crowds are in jail, Carabeni said he has been able to smuggle small mobile phones into his cells in an attempt to continue his criminal activities.

Police said they were found to be installed in the houses and cars of the suspects and found out about the crowded secret chats. However, they have not yet been thought to have broken the encryption, so their capacity of the avostop has been limited.

According to La Republicika, police are still trying to hunt the members of the Chat, who go by alias names like Robert de Nero and Spider -Man.

The raid began on Tuesday before it began, targeting tribes across the Palermo, from the Tomasu Natil to the Porta Nova, from the north of the city.

His investigation covers several suspected crimes related to the mafia association and drug trafficking and armed crimes, police said.

Several owners who were already released from jail after being sentenced are also among those arrested.

Among them were Tomasu Lou Press, who spent 12 years in prison before releasing in 2023.

Last year, there was a scream when it was revealed that Lou Prestati celebrated his silver wedding anniversary at a Palermo Church where prosecution against the mafia was buried.
