Imran says to call off talks with govt if judicial commissions not formed today: Gohar – Pakistan

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Thursday that party founder Imran Khan has asked the government to end negotiations due to the delay in forming the judicial commission.

The PTI and the government are engaged in talks to lower the political temperature. After two rounds of meetings, the third round took place last week in which Tehreek-e-Insaf formally presented its demands in writing.

Despite weeks of negotiations, the negotiation process has barely moved on major issues – the formation of a judicial commission and the release of PTI prisoners. On Monday, the government assured the PTI of responding to the opposition’s charter of demands within seven working days after the party warned that if judicial commissions were not formed to probe the May 9 and November 26 incidents. She will boycott the next round of talks.

Speaking to reporters outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gauhar said the government had promised to form the requested judicial commission within seven days but failed to do so.

Gohar said that the PTI was hopeful of continuing the talks. Negotiations were canceled due to non-cooperation from the government.

He said that if the commission is not announced, the negotiations cannot go ahead.

However, he said that if a three-judge commission is formed, discussions can take place.

Gauhar said that according to the PTI founder, the party will continue its efforts under the law and constitution. On the instructions of [Imran]We will struggle together with various opposition parties.
