The first residents of the celebration scored their homes and apartments through a lottery hosted by the Walt Disney Company.
Orlando Sentinel’s 1995 article states that once potential landowners were selected, he met with a $ 1,000 deposit and sales consultant. The article currently states that homes are worth more than $ 7,27,000 to $ 500,000.
McDonald and his family were among those who entered Disney’s lottery. He and his wife wanted to celebrate the powers of education for their children.
McDonald said, “Disney was going to build a sophisticated school, so we wanted to enter the children.”
Earlier, residents began to move to the celebration in 1996, but it was not yet a stir.
“Many people moved from all over the country, but we were not really busy,” said Davison.
During the early years of the celebration, working at the post office met with many new faces.
“At that time, the post office was very slow, so many people who came were residents,” said Davison.
The atmosphere was being welcomed among the celebrated residents, which they said was different from the previous post office job in southern Miami.
