On Saturday, London’s Heathrow Airport resumed full operations, a day later, when the fire eliminated the power supply and closed the busiest European airport, spreading global travel chaos.

Some flights resumed Friday evening, but for most of the day, the world’s fifth airport shuttering for tens of thousands of people searched for thousands of people in short hotel rooms and alternate seats, while airlines tried to return the jet and staff to the bases.

Virgin Atlantic said the week is expected to run a “nearly complete schedule” with limited cancellation, but that the situation remains active and all flights will be kept under constant review.
According to Flight Analtics Firm Serium data, Jet Blu, American Airlines, Air Canada, Air India, Air India, United Airlines, United Airlines, British Airways and Virgins were turned back to their original airports or returned to their original airports.
Shares fell in many airlines on Friday.
