• Omar Ayub attacked ‘incompetent, overall intelligence failure’
n MNA angry with the absence of ministers
ISLAMABAD: The coalition government on Wednesday maintained an extraordinary silence in the National Assembly over the hijacking of Jaffar Express in Balochistan, yet criticized opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan, who shook the nation and criticized the attack.
Surprisingly, none of the federal cabinet bothered to make a policy statement about the incident, though Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, including Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, the newly involved Minister of Home Affairs, Talul Chaudhry and Law Minister Nazir Nazir Tarr, were in the opposition.
The opposition leader’s speech began a formal debate on March 10 at the joint site of Parliament to joint President Asif Zardari.
Initially, the opposition leader asked the chair to suspend the usual business of the House to allow the members to discuss the Jaffar Express incident, but PPP’s Abdul Qadir Patel, who was sitting in the absence of the speaker and the deputy speaker, was sitting on the demand.
His question of time led to a noise protest by PTI -related opposition lawmakers.
After raising the slogan for a few minutes, members of the opposition walked out, and they surpassed the MNA from Khyber Iqbal Khan to identify the quorum. Mr Patel, however, announced the House after the head and allowed the members to ask additional questions. The PTI legislator returned home after the completion of the question time.
Opposition leader’s speech
Finally, with the floor to start the traditional debate on the presidential address, Omar Ayub criticized the chair for not allowing the Bolan incident not to discuss. Mr Khan said, “Balochistan is burning and the government is doing business as usual.” Pointing to the Treasury members engaged in the chat chat, the opposition leader said it shows “seriousness” by the government to tackle terrorism.
Interestingly, Mr Khan started his speech with criticism of the government to tackle the latest terrorist attack in Balochistan. He then used his most time to highlight the alleged political hunting of opposition members and keep PTI founder chairman, Imran Khan. His speech ended on May 9 and November 26, on the demand of his party regarding the establishment of the Judicial Commission, in which several PTI workers allegedly suffered state repression.
He also called for the 1971 tragedy, the Abbottabad Commission and the release of the Hemodor Rehman Commission reports on attacks and attacks on the attacks of the Army Public School in Peshawar.
The opposition leader described the attack on the Jaffar Express as a “failure of a total intelligence”, and raised the question of how dozens of terrorist intelligence agencies were able to gather in the light of the day to carry out such disgusting acts without paying attention to the intelligence agencies. He said he was the soldiers and officers of the armed forces who were suffering the most due to such failures. On the other hand, he said, the police and all kinds of forces will reach the riot gear place, even if there are five members of the PTI.
Saying that 13 intelligence agencies are operating in the country, Mr Khan alleged that all these agencies focus on targeting the opposition. He alleged that the Balochistan government was only interested in taking action against opposition leaders, such as Mahmood Achakzai, Akhtar Mengal and Mehrang Baloch, while they failed to find and find terrorists. He claimed that there were 37 districts in Balochistan which had become “nine areas”. After that, Mr Khan criticized the government’s economic policies and challenged his claims regarding the increase in prices and the reduction of inflation.
Ministers are absent from home
Earlier, during the question of time, the government faced opposition as well as coalition partners in the absence of ministers in the absence of ministers. The issue was raised by PPP’s Naveed Qamar and then several other lawmakers, who expressed their displeasure over the absence of ministers despite recent participation in the federal cabinet. Mr Patel postponed questions regarding the energy division due to the absence of a minister.
On one occasion, Joi Alam Alam Khan asked the PPP to consider joining the opposition as there was no positive response from the PML-N on any issue, including the canals in the Indus River. Mr Patel replied that PPP could consider it.
He later postponed to sit until Thursday morning (today).
