Camera feature attached to Google Pixel: Still requires work
The attached cameras feature is a powerful addition to the pixel 9 range, but there is enough space for improvement. Here are some of my early ideas.
Switching between cameras is slow
Each time you switch the camera, you have to endure a three -second countdown before the feed is converted into another camera. There is no way to turn back and forth. In addition, every time you contact a remote camera, you have to provide access to the remote device. If you have arranged your remote camera at some distance, then you have to walk on it and provide access all the time when you connect.
No easy way to switch between camera lenses
Your remote camera can either share the rear or front camera, but when you start the connection, you have to choose it. When you are connected, you can’t switch camera lenses on the remote device.
It is painful to switch between multiple remote device
Only one remote camera can be attached at a time. If you want to start using different remote camera, you have to go back to your local camera before disconnecting the remote. Only then can you contact a different device. If you do not follow these steps, the “Add pixel” button just does nothing.
The default camera app is not support
The associated cameras only work with auxiliary social media apps. You just can’t fire a pixel camera and use the camera attached there. This means that you control the camera settings through the app you are using – you probably do not have access to all settings available in the default camera app.
It doesn’t always work.
I have noticed that camera sharing sometimes refuses to work only, though the remote device is attached and is believed to have been properly shared. Restarting one or both devices usually makes it fine.
