The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Ford recalled hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to concerns over battery defects.
The recall affects certain 2021-2023 Bronco Sport SUVs and 2022-2023 Maverick pickup trucks. About 272,817 vehicles are part of the recall.
NHTSA said the 12-volt battery “may degrade and fail suddenly.”

Owner notification letters will be sent around February 3rd. Recalled vehicles must be inspected and, if necessary, the dealer will replace the 12-volt battery free of charge.
