FBI arrests a Washington state woman in the fatal shooting of Vermont Border Patrol agent

BERLINGTON, VT (AP) – The FBI said Friday that a woman from Washington arrested a Washington woman in a deadly firing of a US border patrol agent in Vermont.

The FBI said 21 -year -old Teresa Young Bullet was accused of murdering Border Patrol Agent David Malind on Monday. It states that Young Bullet and a German man who was killed in a firefight has been under supervision for several days.

According to an FBI affidavit, Malind stopped Young Bullet and Felix Bakhlat in Coventry on Monday at Interstate 91 as the visa was apparently expired by Bakhlat.

Young Bullet has been accused of firing on Malind and other officers. The affidavit states that Bakhlat tried to pull the gun.

Investigators have been “monitoring” the couple from January 14, when an employee where he was staying at a hotel raised a gun and saw the two wearing a black tactical gear. Investigators tried to question them, but they refused to have long talks and said they were trying to buy property in the area.
