LAHORE: Immediately after trying to escape in the Manawan area here on Sunday, an attempt to sexually assault a disabled beggar woman. A police constable was later arrested.
Taking notice of the incident, Lahore operations suspended the constable, Amjad, after registering a criminal case against a suspect posted at Shafqabad police station.
Shareing the details, a source said that the suspect stopped a woman under the influence on a deserted road in Mannon and dragged her to nearby fields where she picked up the alarm for help.
Meanwhile, some people, including local, Sajjad Ali, arrived on the spot to save the woman.
He added that seeing people running in the fields, a drunk police officer pulled out a pistol and opened indiscriminate fire, which injured Sajjad. The man was later shifted to the hospital with a bullet injury in his leg.
Police have arrested the constable.
Woman’s murder: A woman was killed in her home in her house in Sanda area on Sunday. Reconciliation is known as Reda, the woman was found with a piece of throat with sharp stripe weapons.
Police inquiries suggested that she was living in the upper part of the house and her husband Shamshad was on her job when she was killed.
However, the police seized her husband on suspicion because the evidence of the situation shows that no one can enter the upper part of the house or a stranger.
Sharing the details, a spokesman for the Lahore police said that the victim was living in the bottom of the woman’s father -in -law, which had a gate, and there were no signs of forced entry.
Referring to the preliminary investigation, the spokesperson said the woman was killed between 3 pm at midnight, while the victim’s husband was working in a night shift at a factory from 9am to 9pm. –
However, on the night of the incident, the suspect visited his house twice, the first night at 11am and then around 1pm, claimed that he had brought a burger for his wife. Due to his extraordinary activity, the police raised doubts and seized Shamshad for questioning. The body was shifted to City Morg for postmortem.
