Dozens evacuated as fire breaks out in Buenos Aires skyscraper

Emergency services said more than 100 people were evacuated from the luxury residential tower in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, as fire broke out in several floors.

Before the cats were controlled, smoke was treated with forty people and several others were admitted to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

The 50 -floor building is located in the special neighborhood of Puerto Media.

Alberto Christy, head of Buenos Aires Emergency Services, told local media that the fire had “fully expanded to the 15th floor”.

He said the broken glass fell from the windows.

“Fortunately, it was a very fast evacuation, that is, people are not in danger,” he added.

Firefighter Christian Benetz told AFP News Agency that all residents are in danger.

“I heard the fire alarm and came down as soon as possible,” 30 -year -old Orla Griel told AFP outside the building.

Mariano Pune, a former footballer, who played for Argentina’s Giants River Plate and the Spanish Club, who lives in the building, told the Nichas Argentines News Agency: “I saw smoke and with my son and my dog Go down
