The ruins of a Ancient Jewish formal baths have been found near Rome – the oldest discovery of such Bible Israel and the surrounding area.
Religious Jews were discovered during the ongoing excavation of the ancient port city of Austria, the “Macauh”, used for formal purification. It was 16 miles from Rome, an important citizen of the Roman Colony and antiquities.
“This is a completely extraordinary discovery,” Alicendro de Alasio, director of ancient Austria’s archaeological park, said in a search offer on Monday.
“No Roman Macowat (the Hebrew abundance of Macauia) was previously known outside the ancient Judas, Galilee and Ideomia (located in the modern era), and it could not confirm the permanent presence, role and importance of the Jewish community in Austria in the royal era (if not before).”
The formal bath is in part of the Austria synagogue, which was built at the end of the second century CE. Located inside a small room, it was covered with blue plaster and shells and demanded it through a series of columns.

“The discovery of an ancient Jewish formal bath, or Macauia, which has emerged in the Astiya Antika archaeological park, reinforces historical awareness about this place as a real combination of coexistence and cultures, which is a cohesive, eloquence of tolerance, a coalition, a coalition, a coalition, a coalition of elasticism. Elsendro, Elsandro, ”
According to a statement on the Austria archaeological park website, other site finds included small sculptures and marble pieces. There was also a lamp that contained the icon of the manura and the palm branch, and a glass. Both items are between the AD of the 5th and 6th centuries.
He added that “how deeply the presence of Jews was rooted” in the heart of ancient Rome.
It is believed to have begun as a naval base, the historic city was saved by sand dunes that covered it. Astiya Antika is often compared to Pompei and is excavated only one -third of the city, used as a marble excavation during the construction of palaces and Catholic churches in the Rome building.
The most recent excavation, which was started by Benato Mussolini, stopped during World War II and was then rid of it by 2022.
The current excavation is part of a research project launched by ancient Austria’s archaeological park, Katania University and Bari’s polytechnic in 2022, and aims to dig into two strategic areas of the ancient burial city.
As presented by strict religious guidelines, MacAsavi was supplied to rain or spring water, and it would be so deep that an average size man could be allowed to immerse.
For the promotion of cultural heritage, the head of the Italian department, Alfonisena Russia, called for the monument to “make it accessible to the public as soon as possible”.
Rome Chief Rabi, Ricardo the Sagini, echoed the call, adding: “The history of the Jews in Rome has been enriched by another valuable monument today, which testifies to his thousand -year -old settlement and traditions.”
“The discovered environment is also active and beautiful,” The Sagini noted.
