History has shown that unless the states provide development and equal rights to all, unmanaged people can also target symbols of state speculation to overcome their frustration. A recent example of this was seen in Bangladesh, when the mob on Wednesday set fire to the country’s founder and founder Sheikh Mujibar Rehman’s residence in Dhaka. Although the residence of Mujibar Rehman was burnt last year during a protest against Sheikh Hasina’s government last year, Ms Hasina was demolished after making an online controversial speech. The former PM, who is also the daughter of Sheikh, is currently in India, and tensions in Bangladesh have been inflated when they demanded the people resist the interim administration. Dhaka has strongly protested with New Delhi on Sheikh Hasina’s speech.
This is for many Bangladeshis, Sheikh’s residence now represents a “fascist stronghold”. Unfortunately, Ms Hussein and the Omi League have mostly accused it themselves, because its authoritarian rule excluded many Bangladeshi people from participating in the benefits of economic progress, while political freedoms. Was also reduced. It is also true that after separation from Pakistan, Sheikh Mujib, in January 1975, will form a party state in Bangladesh, which will include the democratic development of the country. In a dark turning point in the events, in August 1975, the Sheikh and most of his family will be brutally massacred in the same Dhamundi house by rebels. Bangladesh needs to move beyond the heavy -handed principle of the Awami League and return to full democratic rule. Dr Muhammad Younus’ administration should remain on the timeline announced for the elections – in the end of 2025 or early 2026 – to ensure proper democratic transition. Both the interim setup and the next elected government will have to give priority to justice and participation than revenge. In addition, the recent events in Dhonandi offer a lesson to all regional states: when the population is pushed to the shore through the policies, anyone can expect a public anger explosion.
