Dalí art exhibition: Rare Salvador Dalí artworks come to India for first time

Born in Spain in 1904, Dali grows into a world that was embraced by the Aunt Guard and responding to the end of two world wars. The creations of his time, such as Pablo Picasso, John Marrow and Andrea Breton, were looking for new ways to express themselves and their ideas and their artistic style that impressed a young man.

The realism movement, which is founded by Andrea Breton, echoed the most. According to Breton, the art of realism advocated a form of expression that was “in the absence of any control” by thinking.

Dolly was also greatly affected by the theories around Sigmond Freud and Psychological Analysis – it is a way of treating mental illnesses by focusing on a person’s psychology conflicts. Dreams take special importance because they think a person’s thoughts and desires are expressed.

As a result, the art of Dali reflects many of these ideas – they have a close dream standard and adopt the visual meaning through a free association, which is unique to the viewer. There is also a western, almost shocking imagery, such as hidden wishes hidden in the conscious brain.

“Dali was a liberal, and embraced all aspects of the human condition, especially forbidden and disturbing things,” says Ms Arglet.
