It came to light on Tuesday, following the 2020 statement of former Prime Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan in Parliament about suspicious license pilots, the federal cabinet has constituted a committee to investigate the financial losses.
In June 2020, during the parliamentary meeting, Khan said the investigation revealed that more than 262 active pilots in the country had either kept fake licenses or cheated on their exams.
A cabinet secretariat notification according to which view is seen Don Dot Com Today, the newly formed committee will “evaluate the financial losses by the national exchequer due to an irresponsible statement by Khan in 2020”.

The seven -member committee will be chaired by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif as a convener. According to the notification, the committee is expected to submit its reports to the cabinet within four weeks.
According to Khan’s statement in 2020, the pilots included 141 from Pakistan PIA, nine from Air Blue and 10 from Air, while the remaining flying club, chartered aircraft services or foreign airlines were associated with foreign airlines.
Immediately after its disclosure, he announced that the pilots whose certificates were false would be immediately grounded, pending investigation.
Subsequently, the federal government assured that the matter was under investigation. In November this year, Khan said he was standing with his initial statement.
