Thank you in the middle of Trump, rain and many new ministers, sorry we all surprise us all by surprise. No one was really expecting them, though we were all aware of the new pressure and strict instructions.
For those who do not take livelihood from the press and that’s why they do not follow what happens in the industry, tell me that in recent days, apology was offered in relation to two talk shows.
In one, the host apologized for remarks given by guests in recent programs and in the other, an apology was offered Talk show host – Introduction, Commentary, ibtedaiyaWhatever it calls it, but this is what the program starts and tells what will be focused on the upcoming debate.
The weather is changing not only in the capital but also in studios.
In these difficult times, where the press is definitely an attack, to use a clutch, these apologies affected the nerves. Not because journalists cannot be held responsible and not because the mistakes cannot be correct and acknowledged, but because what was for the apology. They were presented for feedback.
However, for months, we have been told that the source of all evils in Pakistan is #Fake News because social media allows people to make goods, facts and events. And these lies and misunderstandings are the ones that are dissatisfied with the notoriety of ‘good’ people in society. And that these mistakes can only be stopped by banning and street jackets through social media where ‘lies’ are going on.
If the opinion is unacceptable too, where does it leave us as a public?
But if this problem was the wrong facts, then why is there an apology now? And if the opinion is unacceptable too, where does it leave us as a public?
Anyway, comment, like, Benefactor They say, it is free and it has been freely available and shared in Pakistan for decades. Even during martial laws, opinion was always more than strict reporting. This is the reason why Zia’s big names emerged in journalism include Ardeshir Kausaji and Irfan Hussain. His opinions gained him fame.
But in this era of Pakistani politics, even the opinion seems to be too much for those who are the Lord on this country – not only journalists but also guests in talk shows. However, this burden is only on journalists, who work more than apologizing to others in addition to their views.
Last week, some anchors were whispered about removing the air. Some, we were told, not just ranked, others were not good, and other people still survived. Perhaps these reasons were as reliable as before when journalists were removed from the air during PTI days. However, why should anyone assume that only a powerful someone’s anger is the reason for removing journalists? Not at this time and no longer.
But a simple question arises with secrets and apology. If a setup gets so much for it (as we are always told) Why is this level of panic? The judiciary has now been terminated. Most coverage is managed by WhatsApp messages. The opposition is divided by despair. Even the new US administration is now happy with Pakistan. Then why do some comments cause such a crime?
This is partly due to the mainstream media reputation crisis, which the state has also created. Heavy -handed censorship, limited reporting and efforts to ensure unilateral comments have convinced many people that the mainstream television channels no longer provide the right picture. The people of Pakistan have stopped listening mostly and they have stopped being convinced.
In the upper part, choosing for the TV screens of the people of the state also faces a credibility crisis, and not just because many of them are new to work. More importantly, most of them are forced to provide one -sided accounts that they are criticized for treating more as a Messenger than journalists. Yet other people face the interests of interests. It is as if there is a low cost in cultivating reputation and confidence. And this is one of the major reasons that there is a permanent conversation about the failure to build the Muslim League-N Abroad (No lack is just a crisis for the ruling party).
But it is not to say that only reputation can solve this problem. There is a limit to ‘stories’ that can be sold by the media if they have little similarity to reality. So much true about the inflation claim that the idea is defeated that the government is democratic, when protests of political parties or students or mere civilians face unnecessary violence and arrests. No one will believe that they are living in the land of honey and milk if they can observe police raids at home at the next door.
The pressure on the media reminds me of an idiom about a mirror and an image to present a better picture, but in this season of apologies, it is better to repeat it here.
It is enough to say that the last two weeks, the old Hindi movie, Amar Akbar AnthonyPlaying in my head. Now in a famous scene, Amitabh Bachchan beat an unwanted and badly beaten when he examines his injuries in a reflection. We all laughed because we knew the bandage was not helping.
