Chromecast (2nd gen) and Audio cannot Cast in ‘Untrusted’ outage [Update]

Over the past few hours, the owners of Chromkast (Second General) and Chrome Cast Audio have not been able to put any audio or video content.

Update 3/11: Google Provided a refreshing On Tuesday afternoon, with the latest existence, “the team has identified the cause of the problem affecting Chrome cast (second general) and Chrome cast audio devices.”

Please do not reset the factory your device. If you had previously reset the factory while tracking the defects, you may also face a problem where you are unable to reset your device. The team has also identified the reason and is currently working on a fix.

Update 3/10: By Monday, Google is familiar with a problem with “Chrome cast V2 and Chrome cast audio devices,” and is working on a fix.

Original 3/9: Apparently, all users of these two chrome cast models are watching the “non -trusted device”: [name] Can’t confirm. This outdated device firmware may be due to the message. This warning appears in apps (such as YouTube) when consumers are selected as cast goals.

You can only “close” the dialog box and not move forward. There are no closing users work, rebootes, reites, etc. that will solve this problem. Screen saver (Google Photo, Art, Photography, etc.) still works with time and weather.

New models, such as chromkaste (third general) and ultra, are still not affected today.

Today’s “unmanned device” warning is causing people to think that Google has brick their chromcost or is announcing the end of life.

However, it is more likely that Google has not made any support for these devices, as it did in May 2023 with the original chromcost (the first general).

Hopefully the company can send a server side fix in a short order.

Chromkast (second general) and Chrome cast are two of Google’s two ancient equipment, both announced in the same program in September 2015. Like all other chrome cast devices, they are running 1.56.x firmware.
