State health officials announced Tuesday that a child under the age of 5 had signed a measles contract in Safulk County.
In New York City, two people have scored the third in New York State this year after contracting with a high respiratory disease.
According to the release, the spread of measles is not related to the spread of measles elsewhere in the United States, including a single release.
According to the Health Department, the disease not only causes quick and fever, but can also weaken the immune system.
State Health Commissioner Dr. James McDonald said in a statement on Tuesday, “Our outbreaks and vaccine experts in the State Health Department and the state’s Woodworth Lab are working with Safulk County, New York City and North Health City, to monitor and investigate any possible exhibition.”
McDonald said, “Measles can be very serious. This is just much more quickly because complications can include pneumonia and brain inflammation, and often results in the hospital.” “People can do the most important thing to protect themselves, to ensure that they are properly vaccinated against measles and if they are not, get the shot immediately.”
