Central Nebraska sheriffs advise against travel

Hastings, NAB.

The press release states that “Adams County Sheriff’s office is not recommending driving right now.” “County is experiencing snowstorm conditions.

Sheriff’s office has also warned that due to road conditions, first respondents will not be able to respond in the event of an emergency.

The press release states, “Adams County Sheriff’s office cannot immediately respond to you.” If you feel yourself trapped, if you just need help, we call you 402-461-7181.

Clay County Sheriff also issued a warning to drivers.

“Please, to protect yourself and others, it is not selfish to travel in such situations.” Facebook Post Read “If you leave to travel in these situations, be ready to sit in your car for several hours.”

County roads in clay county were drawn from plowing. The courthouse is not opening until noon.

Franklin County posted on Facebook, saying that Mariat is close to zero, and has been advised against traveling with several vehicles off the road.

It has come up with many roads in Central Nebraska, as well as the ongoing snow emergency for Grand Island and Hastings.

Other Central Nebraska officials are reporting power outages and electric poles.
