According to Maryland’s Department of Health and Howard County Health officials, a resident of Howard County experienced a positive experience for measles after returning from international trip.
Officials say the measles case is not related to the spread of measles in Texas and New Mexico.
Anyone who comes to the following places during the following times may be exposed to:
- Washington Dolls International Airport: International arrival area
March 5: 4 pm to 9 pm - Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Department
March 7: 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Officials from the Virginia Department of Health, the Maryland Department of Health and Howard County are seeking to identify those who have been exposed, including contacting potentially exposed passengers in specific flights.
People who have been exposed should contact their health care provider for additional guidance.
