Prosecutors said police searched for two suspected gunmen fleeing in the subway tunnels of the Belgian capital of Brussels after firing on Wednesday.
Police closed several subway stations and interrupted six lines in service, According to a post on X by stabBelgium Public Transportation Service.
According to Reuters, the Belgian prosecutor’s office said no injuries were reported during the incident at Central Brussels Climys Station.
Sources close to the investigation said the incident could be related to drugs.
