Aga Khan, late leader of Ismailis, to be buried in Egypt today – Pakistan

Gilgit: The 49th Imam of Ismaili Muslims will be buried in the Egyptian city of Eson on Sunday.

Prince Karim’s burial will be a private event on Sunday, after which a special tribute will be paid to Lisbon on Tuesday.

His son and successor, Prince Rahim al -Husseini, who was nominated as the 50th hereditary Imam, or a spiritual leader, will also attend the Tuesday ceremony.

He will provide audiences to senior leaders of the society, who will pledge their loyalty to the Ismailis all over the world.

It is expected that Prince Rahim will order the Ismaili constitution a refreshing and bless the community.

According to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, Finance Minister Aurangzeb met Prince Rahim on Saturday and expressed his condolences on the President, the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan.
