The shooting trial against the popular rapper AP Rocky began on Friday with opening statements in Los Angeles.
The 36 -year -old hip -hop rapper, whose real name is Rochem Mayers, is accused of firing a gun at a former friend and band Mate during a hot exchange in Hollywood in 2021.
The mayors have not proved a crime for two serious counting of semi -automatic firearms. Prosecutors say he shot in the direction of fellow Raper Terrill Affairs, which was called A $ AP Relyli.
In his initial statement, the prosecution painted the mayors as an aggressive attacker who planned to shoot his childhood friend on an argument.

The jury selection in this case began on Tuesday in the Los Angeles County High Court. If sentenced, mayors face 24 years imprisonment.

“Singing a gun in a public place is a serious crime that can end with tragic consequences not only for the person but also for innocent passers who come to Hollywood.” Gaskin said in a statement.
Rocky, a Grammy nominee artist, is a partner of singer Rihanna, with which he distributes two children.
In 2019, when he and two members of his delegation clashed in the streets, he was attacked in Swedish court.
